Why Forging?

What Is Forging?

Forging is a kind of plastic forming method of metalworking. By applying continuous blows to the metal with a hammer, internal voids of the metal are eliminated and the crystals are refined to be properly aligned, which shapes the metal into the desired form while increasing its strength.

Advantages of Forgings

Grain Flow (Fiber Flow)
Grain Flow (Fiber Flow)
Metal is composed of a crystalline structure. Forging refines crystals and makes them flow plastically. This flow of the metal structure is called grain flow (fiber flow).
